13-year-old girl killed in south Fort Worth shooting
The Fort Worth Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred Thursday night in the 3500 block of Altamesa Blvd.
At around 9:40pm, Fort Worth police officers were dispatched to a shooting near the LA Fitness at 3560 Altamesa Blvd.
When officers arrived, they located a 13-year-old girl with an apparent gunshot wound.
She was transported to Cook Children’s Medical Center, but did not survive her injuries. She has been identified as a resident of a southwest Fort Worth apartment complex.
Homicide detectives are still trying to determine what happened. The investigation is ongoing.
