Young child hurt in drive-by shooting at Haltom City home

The Haltom City Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred this afternoon at a home in the 3500 block of Eastridge Drive.
At 3:11pm, Haltom City officers were called to the location after dispatch received multiple 9-1-1 calls of gunfire in the area. They found several vehicles and a house struck by bullets.
A young girl inside the house was hit in the leg by one of the gunshots. Medstar EMS transported her to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Detectives are working to identify a suspect in this case. At this time, the motive has not yet been identified.
