Man’s body found in Kessler Park alleyway

The Dallas Police Department has launched a homicide investigation after a body was discovered in an alleyway just blocks from the popular Bishop Arts District.

At around 9:18am Sunday morning, Dallas police were dispatched to 1330 Kings Highway near Taft Street after someone reported a body laying in an alleyway behind a house.

Officers determined the body had also been burned. The Dallas Fire Arson Unit along with DPD’s Crime Scene Unit and Homicide Unit processed the scene for a few hours.

The Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine cause of death.

At the time of his death, the victim was wearing boots, jeans, a dress shirt, and a wedding ring on his left hand, according to Dallas Police.

The motive and circumstances surrounding this murder are under investigation.
