Child struck, killed by school bus in Parker County
The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a fatality accident that occurred this afternoon southwest of Weatherford.
Just after 4:00pm, firefighters from Brock VFD and paramedics from LifeCare EMS responded to the scene of a pedestrian involved crash in the 400 block of Copper Canyon Circle near Canyon Creek Court.
DPS investigators say a group of young children got off the bus when it stopped on Copper Canyon Circle. As the driver of the bus began to pull away, a 6-year-old girl was struck. Police say she was pronounced deceased at the scene by paramedics.
