Man dies after motorhome catches fire while driving on highway in Glen Rose

The Texas Department of Public Safety is incident a fatal vehicle fire that occurred on Monday along Highway 67 in Glen Rose.
At around 11:40am, multiple emergency responders from the Somervell County Fire and EMS along with Glen Rose PD were called to the intersection of Highway 67 and Bo Gibbs Blvd for a motorhome that was on fire. Firefighters arrived to find heavy flames coming from the vehicle.
A husband and wife were inside the motorhome at the time of the fire. The 89-year-old male driver and his wife, a 74-year-old female, were both injured and airlifted to Parkland Hospital in Dallas. The man died later that evening. They have been identified as residents of Granbury.
The RV, which was pulling an SUV, rolled down a short hill and collided with another vehicle, but there were no injuries as a result of that collision.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation. No additional information was released.
