Two people killed at Kennedale house; suspect arrested

The Kennedale Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred on Wednesday at a house in the 100 block of Oak Ridge Trail.
At 5:52pm, Kennedale police were dispatched to the residence after a family member called 9-1-1 to report a welfare concern. When officers arrived, the family member allowed them to enter the home where they found the bodies of two individuals. According to the Medical Examiner’s Office, one of the victims, a 72-year-old man, was stabbed. The second victim has not been publicly identified.
Police were able to identify the suspect and put out a regional alert for his arrest. On Thursday, police located the suspect and took him into custody following a police chase.
Kennedale PD says capital murder charges are pending.
The motive and circumstances surrounding the murder are still under investigation.
