13-year-old killed in Fort Worth shooting

The Fort Worth Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred Saturday morning at an apartment complex on the east side of town.
Police were called to the Woodhaven Hills Condominiums at 6050 Stoneybrook Drive for a reported shooting. When officers arrived, they located a 13-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the torso.
Medstar paramedics transported him to Cook Children’s Medical Center, but his injuries were too severe. He was pronounced deceased at the hospital just after 12:30pm.
Detectives have interviewed the individual responsible for the shooting as well as additional witnesses. At this time, no arrests have been made. Homicide units continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident.
