Man shot by Dallas homeowner was harassing neighborhood, making threats

The Dallas Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred late Saturday night in a neighborhood near Pleasant Grove.
At 11:03pm, Dallas police responded to a shooting at a house in the 2600 block of Quinto Drive.
Officials say a man was “harassing the neighborhood” and attempted to break into several cars. The man encountered a homeowner and threatened to kill him while pretending to have a weapon. He charged at the homeowner, twice, and was shot by the homeowner.
The man was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
This case has been sent to a Grand Jury for a referral. Charges, if any, have not been addressed.
The investigation is ongoing.
