High school student stabs classmate in fight over girl at Boswell HS

The Fort Worth Police Department is investigating a stabbing incident that occurred today at Bailey Boswell High School.

At 12:52pm, a School Resource Officer working at Bailey Boswell High School was dispatched to a stabbing situation. Officers found a male student with a stab wound to the back. He was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.

Authorities say the victim and another juvenile male student were fighting over a girl when one student stabbed the other.

The student responsible has been taken into custody.

School administrators released a statement to parents indicating the male student was stabbed with what appeared to be a kitchen knife.

Here is the full statement:

“Dear Boswell Families,

Boswell High School went into a hold a few minutes ago while police investigated an altercation between two students, and during this a student was stabbed with what looks like a kitchen knife. We have spoken with the parents of this student. This student is being transported to the hospital in stable condition and the other student has been taken into custody by police.

Police report to us that there is no reason to continue the hold, and we will continue with our school day as scheduled.

For students or staff who need support, our counselors and administrators are here for them. I will send an additional communication to you later this afternoon/early evening as I have more information. If you have any questions, please reach out to me.”
