Juvenile killed in Grand Prairie shooting

The Grand Prairie Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred early Monday morning at a home in the 2000 block of Aggie Drive.

At 4:15am, Grand Prairie police officers responded to the scene and located a 17-year-old male with an apparent gunshot wound. Paramedics transported him to Medical City Arlington where he died from his injuries.

Detectives say the victim and the suspects, who knew each other, were engaged in high-risk activity (such as a drug deal or similar situation) when a disturbance between the three individuals occurred. During the fight, one of the suspects shot the victim.

The suspects, identified by police as a 17-year-old male and 20-year-old male, were arrested at their house in Waxahachie by the United States Marshal Service North Texas Fugitive Task Force. Both are in the Grand Prairie jail on a charge of Capital Murder. Bond is set at $1,000,000 each.

The incident remains under investigation.
