Fort Worth police believe shooting death of 14-year-old girl was accidental

On Friday, April 7th, at 8:49pm, Fort Worth officers were dispatched to the 2100 block of Daniel St. in reference to a shooting call.
Upon arrival officers located a juvenile female victim with an apparent gunshot wound to her head.
MedStar EMS transported the victim to an area hospital for medical treatment, but she did not survive her injuries and was pronounced deceased.
Homicide detectives are interviewing witnesses and the person responsible for firing a weapon causing injury to the victim. Detectives believe that this is an accidental shooting that caused the death of the victim.
No arrests have been made at this time.
