One person killed in after-prom party shooting in Fort Worth

Fort Worth police officers responded to a shooting in the 3500 block of NW 27th Street during the overnight hours.
Upon arrival officers located a male shooting victim with an apparent gunshot wound to his torso. The victim was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment, but did not survive his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
Detectives found that there was a large party being held at the location when an argument broke out between the victim and the suspect. The suspect produced a weapon and fired multiple shots striking the victim at least one time. The suspect fled the scene prior to the arrival of police and medical personnel.
Reports indicate this gathering was an after-prom party.
The Medical Examiner has not yet released the identification the victim.
