iPhone alerts authorities of fatal accident in Johnson County
Early Wednesday morning, Johnson County Sheriff’s Office and other emergency responders were notified by an emergency call from an iPhone, reporting there had been a crash on Green Ridge Lane near Lillian.
A sheriffs deputy responded to the area and located the accident scene along with an unresponsive male. Paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.
DPS says the vehicle was traveling northbound on Green Ridge lane, and entered a curve at an unsafe speed. The driver was unable to negotiate the curve and left the roadway.
The investigation is ongoing at this time.
