Man, unrestrained infant killed in Dallas crash
On July 1, 2023, Dallas Fire Rescue and Dallas PD responded to a major accident in the 6400 block of Grand Avenue.
The preliminary investigation determined that at about 2:45am, a sedan driven by a 25-year-old man with a 22-year-old front female passenger, was northbound on E. Grand Avenue at a high rate of speed. The front passenger had an infant in her lap.
The driver lost control of the vehicle, hit the curb, and then hit a tree.
The driver died at the scene. The female passenger was transported to a local hospital by Dallas Fire Rescue in serious condition. The infant was transported to a local hospital and died.
The crash remains under investigation.
