Man fatally stabbed during argument over parking space in Carrollton

At around 10:30pm Thursday night, Carrollton police responded to a stabbing in the 2500 block of Guerrero Drive.
Police responded to a 911 call regarding a disturbance. A friend of the victim told police she pulled up to a parking spot and was attempting to back in, when the suspect, 30-year-old Gerardo Rodriguez, pulled up in front of her and stopped. He got out of the car and began yelling at her.
The victim, who was sitting in the passenger seat, began arguing with the suspect. As the suspect returned to his vehicle, the victim got out of the car. The two continued arguing again when the victim’s friend heard him yell the suspect had a knife before falling to the ground.
Rodriguez drove off but later turned himself in to the Carrollton Police Department.
The victim was transported to a local hospital where he later died.
