Denton police looking for driver who fatally struck pedestrian and drove off

The Denton Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the vehicle that failed to stop after striking a pedestrian on Sunday night.

At 10:19 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 24, officers were dispatched to a collision on the northbound I-35 service road at W. University Drive. Multiple callers reported that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle that left the scene. 

The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. He has not been identified at this time.  

Traffic investigators are working to determine the make and model of the suspect vehicle, which was last seen traveling west on W. University Drive. A description of the vehicle is not yet available.
