Armed man arrested after standoff in Haltom City neighborhood
On Wednesday, September 27, at approximately 12:50 A.M., Haltom City police officers were dispatched to the 4500 block of Walthall Street in reference to a person with a weapon.
Initial information indicated that an armed male was seen in the front yard of a residence making threats. Officers set up a perimeter and attempted to contact the suspect. After some time, the male eventually responded to the communication and surrendered himself without incident.
Administration, CID, and S.W.A.T. were involved in the peaceful resolution. Richland Hills PD also assisted with this incident. At least one arrest was made, and CID is currently processing evidence and charges related to the incident.
There were no reports of injury.
