Intoxicated driver caused fatal Fort Worth crash, DPS says

On Wednesday, September 27, at around 12:32, Fort Worth Fire Department, MedStar EMS, and DPS Troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash on northbound Chisholm Trail Parkway near Sycamore School Road.

Authorities say a 32-year-old Cleburne man was driving a pickup southbound in the northbound lanes of CTP when he struck a passenger vehicle.

The driver of the passenger vehicle was pronounced deceased by paramedics at the scene. She has been identified as a 22-year-old woman from Fort Worth.

DPS says the pickup driver was intoxicated at the time of the collision. He was transported to a Fort Worth hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. He has been charged with Intoxication Manslaughter with a Vehicle.

The crash remains under investigation.
