Two men found shot in parking lot of Denton’s Fred Moore High School

Denton PD detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in the 800 block of Cross Timber St. early Sunday morning.

On Oct. 15 at approximately 2:37 a.m., officers were dispatched to reports of a shooting in the area of Fred Moore High School. Multiple callers reported someone had been shot in the school parking lot. Officers arrived on scene and located two adult gunshot victims, who were transported to a local hospital. One of the gunshot victims, a 30-year-old male, was declared deceased at the hospital a short time later. The second victim, a 26-year-old male, remains in the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The deceased victim’s name is not yet being released pending official identification from the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.
