Motorcyclist critically hurt in crash along the Sam Rayburn Tollway
The Texas Highway Patrol is investigating a major accident that critically injured a motorcyclist.
On Monday evening, Plano Fire Rescue and DPS Troopers responded to a major accident in the northbound lanes of the Sam Rayburn Tollway near Legacy Drive.
Investigators say a motorcyclist was traveling at high speeds when he made an unsafe lane change and collided with an SUV.
The 20-year-old motorcyclist was transported to a Plano trauma center with life-threatening injuries.
All northbound lanes of Sam Rayburn Tollway were closed for approximately 3 hours while DPS investigated the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
