Woman killed in south Arlington crash
On Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at approximately 10:27 a.m., Arlington Police Department, Fire Department, and AMR responded to the 2300 block of W. Sublett Road to investigate a crash involving a car and a pickup truck.
Investigators believe the driver of a sedan that was traveling eastbound along Sublett Road made an unsafe lane change in front of a pickup truck, striking the front end of the pickup truck. The collision caused the sedan to spin out and crash into a tree in the median.
The driver of the sedan, a 33-year-old female from Fort Worth, was transported to a local hospital where she was later pronounced deceased from her injuries. She was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The driver of the pickup truck was not injured and is not facing any charges in connection to this incident.
