Bystander shot during exchange of gunfire in northwest Fort Worth

On Friday, Feb. 16th, 4:23 p.m., Fort Worth PD was dispatched to the 3100 block of NW 33rd St. in reference to a male that was shot at that location.

During the course of the investigation, officers were able to determine that two individuals started shooting at each other, and an innocent bystander was struck by one of the bullets.

The innocent bystander received non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for medical evaluation.

One of the suspects is in custody, and the other is possibly in an apartment complex where the officers are continuing their search.

The incident remains under investigation.
