Wrong-way driver killed in Burleson crash
At around 3:09am this morning, Burleson Fire Department and Police Department were dispatched to a major accident on northbound Interstate 35W near Wilshire Blvd/174.
Preliminary information indicates the driver of a pickup truck was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of the highway and struck an 18-wheeler head on.
Paramedics pronounced the 33-year-old driver deceased on the scene. He has been identified as a resident of Arlington.
All northbound lanes of Interstate 35W were closed from approximately 3:30am to 9:15am for police investigation and clean up.
The crash remains under investigation.
