Plano police say driver ran red light and caused fatal crash
At around 10:02pm on Tuesday evening, Plano Fire Rescue and Police responded to a two-vehicle crash at Tennyson Parkway and Parkwood Blvd.
Officials say a 19-year-old man was driving SUV eastbound on Tennyson Parkway at a high rate of speed when he ran the red light at Parkwood Blvd and t-boned a sedan.
The 27-year-old man driving the sedan was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver who ran the red light was not injured.
Speed does appear to be a contributing factor in the collision.
Officers conducted an investigation of the scene and will report any charges for the at-fault driver.
