Person killed in industrial accident at Dallas UPS distribution center

At around 10:56am this morning, Dallas Fire Rescue’s Engine 35 was dispatched to an industrial accident at the UPS distribution center, 10155 Monroe Drive.

A preliminary dispatch report indicates a person fell into a trash compactor at the plant.

While responding, Engine 35 requested the department’s Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) team to assist with possible extrication; however, Engine 35 arrived to find the individual deceased at the scene.

Dallas PD was assigned for the deceased person investigation.

The incident remains under investigation.
