Drowning victim recovered from Lake Lewisville
On Sunday, September 1st, Texas Game Wardens and the Lewisville Fire Department responded to a drowning victim at Lake Lewisville.
Preliminary information indicated a 23-year-old male went under water and did not resurface in an area of the lake that is around 45-ft deep.
The search lasted well into the evening hours and resumed early on Labor Day with the assistance of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
The man’s body was recovered Monday evening by the Lewisville Fire Department utilizing side scan sonar.
His identify will be released once family has been notified.
