17-year-old ejected, killed in Arlington crash

The Arlington Police Department is investigating a single-vehicle wreck that resulted in the death of a teenager.

On October 22, 2024, at approximately 9:52 p.m., officers responded to the 2800 block of N. Collins Street where a minivan had gone off the roadway and rolled.

Witnesses told investigators the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed in the southbound lanes of N. Collins Street, hit a curb, and went airborne, flipping multiple times before landing in a field.

The 17-year-old male driver of the minivan was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the deceased once next of kin have been notified.

“The Arlington Police Department strongly urges everyone to wear a seatbelt anytime they’re in a vehicle and for drivers to obey all posted speed limits.”
