Two people killed in Dallas crash
On October 27, 2024, at about 4:30 a.m., a box truck driven by a 31-year-old man was traveling northbound at 400 N. Masters Drive. The driver was in the far-right lane of a three-lane roadway, with a green light, at Elam Road.
A vehicle occupied by two men was traveling eastbound at 10200 Elam Road, in the middle lane of a three-lane roadway.
The preliminary investigation determined the driver of the vehicle ran a red light and hit the box truck. The vehicle continued under the truck, struck a wooden power pole, and came to rest in a tree line in the southeast area of the intersection.
The driver of the box truck immediately stopped and remained at the scene.
Both men in the vehicle died at the scene.
