Easter morning shooting kills two people in Fort Worth
On Sunday morning at around 4:34am, Fort Worth police officers were dispatched to the 5500 block of James Avenue in reference to a shooting call.
Upon arrival officers located two shooting victims with apparent gunshot wounds to their upper bodies. Both shooting victims were pronounced deceased on the scene by medical personnel.
A third shooting victim was transported to an area hospital via private vehicle and has been treated and released.
Detectives found that the two deceased shooting victims became involved in a verbal argument which ultimately lead to both parties pulling out handguns and shooting each other. The third shooting victim appears to have been struck by the crossfire of the two deceased shooting victims discharging their firearms.
A third shooter did fire at one of the deceased victims as the deceased victim fired at the other deceased victim. That shooter remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
No arrests have been made.
