UPDATE: Three killed in fiery Plano crash

On May 18, 2025, at approximately 2:30 am, Plano police officers and Plano Fire-Rescue personnel were dispatched to a traffic crash with a vehicle on fire in the 1700 block of US Highway 75 northbound near Parker Road.

Based on a preliminary investigation, a single vehicle traveling north on US Highway 75 struck the concrete barrier and caught fire.

Once Plano Fire-Rescue were able to extinguish the fire, it was discovered there were three occupants in the vehicle, all deceased.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation and the identities of the occupants are unknown until positive identification can be made at the medical examiner’s office.

The Plano Police Department’s Traffic Unit is currently investigating this incident.
