Missing man’s body found at Eagle Mountain Lake

On June 11, 2025, at approximately 12:16 PM, the Tarrant Regional Water District (TRWD) Law Enforcement Division received a report about an individual who had not returned home after visiting Twin Points Park on Eagle Mountain Lake in Tarrant County, Texas.

TRWD Officers promptly responded to the park and found the individual’s unoccupied truck and trailer on the premises.

TRWD Officers initiated a search for the individual and the associated watercraft. At approximately 1:07 PM on June 11, the boat was located on the lake, unoccupied.

It was determined that on June 10, at around 7:44 PM, the individual had texted a friend to inform them of his fishing plans. Surveillance footage confirmed that he entered Twin Points Park alone at approximately 8:10 PM, towing a boat and trailer.

Further investigation revealed that the individual’s cell phone last pinged near Auggie’s Bar and Grill.

Witnesses reported last seeing him at about 1:30 AM on June 11 near the dock at Auggie’s.

The investigation and search efforts have continued since the recovery of the watercraft, with assistance from Texas Parks and Wildlife Game Wardens.

Law Enforcement officers at Eagle Mountain Lake in Tarrant County, Texas, recovered a body June 14, 2025 at approximately 7:00 p.m. It is believed to be that of an Azle man who was last seen around 1:30 a.m. on June 11, 2025. The body was found near Pelican Island north of the location he was last seen.

The body has been transferred to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner for official identification. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding his disappearance remains ongoing.
