Woman struck, killed by 18-wheeler on I20 in Arlington 

The Arlington Police Department is investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian crash that occurred early Thursday morning along I-20 near Bowen Road.

At approximately 4:08 a.m., officers responded to the westbound lanes of I-20 near Bowen Road to investigate a major crash involving a pedestrian and a commercial motor vehicle.

Preliminary investigation indicates a man and woman were involved in a domestic disturbance at a nearby motel prior to the crash. Investigators learned the man left the location on foot and began crossing I-20 from north to south. A short time later, the woman also entered the freeway and was struck by an 18-wheeler traveling westbound.

She was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the 18-wheeler immediately stopped, called 911, and was cooperative with the investigation. He was not injured, and he is not facing any criminal charges in connection to the incident.

The investigation remains ongoing.

UPDATE: Driver of concrete mixer killed in Tarrant County crash

At around 12:55pm, Tarrant County ESD #1, Benbrook EMS, Fort Worth FD, Crowley FD, and Tarrant County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a major accident in the 7600 block of FM 1187 near Ben Day Murrin Road.

Upon arrival, emergency crews located a cement mixer had crashed off the roadway and into a ditch. There was significant damage to the truck.

Once crews were able to access the truck, it was determined the driver had died in the crash.

Lanes of FM 1187 were closed for several hours while crews investigated the scene. The cause is still under investigation.

Two drivers killed in Fort Worth crash

On Wednesday, June 17, at around 2:25am, Fort Worth Fire and Police responded to a major accident on northbound Highway 287 near Harmon Road.

Upon arrival, emergency crews located two vehicles involved in a crash. The drivers of both vehicles were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Northbound lanes of Highway 287 were closed for most of the early morning hours while FWPD investigated the circumstances surrounding the accident.

The lanes have since been reopened.

Two people shot, one fatally, near Fort Worth nightclub

The Fort Worth Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Sunday morning.

On June 14, 2026, at approximately 4:30 a.m., Central Division officers were dispatched to the 2300 block of South Riverside Drive regarding a shooting.

Officers arrived on scene along with the Fort Worth Fire Department and immediately provided medical aid to the victims.

Preliminary information indicates an event was taking place at a nearby nightclub. After the club closed, an argument occurred in the parking lot area. During the disturbance, a suspect produced a firearm and fired multiple shots, striking two individuals.

One victim sustained a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased at the scene. A second victim was transported by private vehicle to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect or suspects fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival.

Per department protocol, Fort Worth Police Homicide Unit detectives responded and are leading the investigation.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the identity of the deceased, as well as the cause and manner of death.

UPDATE: Juvenile fatally struck by vehicle in Dallas

On Saturday, June 13, at approximately 10:24 a.m., Dallas Police and Fire Rescue responded to a major accident in the 8100 block of northbound Julius Schepps Freeway service road (Interstate 45) near S. Great Trinity Forest Way.

The preliminary investigation determined a juvenile was struck by a vehicle at the location. The juvenile was transported to the hospital in critical condition, where they later died.

Initial reports also indicate an involved vehicle overturned in the crash.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and was transported to the hospital.

Man found shot dead at condo near Ridglea Country Club

The Fort Worth Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred Sunday morning.

On Sunday, June 14, 2026, at approximately 10:30 a.m., West Division officers were dispatched to the 4000 block of Ridglea Country Club Drive in reference to a shooting.

Officers located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers along with personnel from the Fort Worth Fire Department and immediately began providing medical aid. Despite lifesaving efforts, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

At this time, the circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation. Detectives are actively interviewing witnesses and gathering evidence. Preliminary information suggests this may be an isolated incident; however, the investigation remains active and ongoing.

The suspect(s) fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival.

In accordance with standard protocol, Fort Worth Police Homicide Unit detectives responded and assumed the investigation.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause and manner of death and will release the identity of the deceased pending notification of next of kin.

One person killed in fiery Westlake crash

Just after 3:00am, Westlake Fire/EMS and Keller Police responded to reports of a single vehicle traffic collision just after along eastbound SH114 between Trophy Lake and Davis Blvd.

Upon arrival, officers located the single vehicle fully engulfed. After Westlake Fire extinguished the flames, a single occupant was located in the driver’s seat of the vehicle.

It is unknown if drugs and/or alcohol played a role in the collision.

No other vehicles were involved.

Driver dies in crash near Dallas Love Field

On June 11, 2026, at approximately 10:09 p.m., Dallas Police and Fire Rescue responded to a major accident in the 3700 block of west Northwest Highway at Marsh Lane.

The preliminary investigation determined that a sedan, occupied by only a driver, was traveling eastbound on  Northwest Highway attempted to turn left onto northbound Marsh Lane when it was unsafe to do so. As the sedan was turning northbound, it was struck by a van which then overturned.

The driver of the sedan was transported to the hospital, where they died.

The driver of the van experienced minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.

Driver ejected, killed in Fort Worth rollover

On Thursday, June 11th, 2026, at 7:31pm, Fort Worth Fire and Police responded to a major accident involving an overturned vehicle on westbound I30 near University Drive.

Authorities say a male driver was ejected form his vehicle after the vehicle overturned.

Bystanders performed CPR at the scene, but he was pronounced deceased.

Lanes of westbound I30 were closed for accident investigation.
