Motorcyclist dies after hitting 18-wheeler in Arlington
The Arlington Police Department is investigating a crash that resulted in the death of a 47-year-old man.
On Saturday, July 25, 2026, at approximately 9:13 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 3900 block of Avenue E East in response to a collision involving a motorcycle and an 18-wheeler.
Investigators determined the driver of the 18-wheeler was attempting to turn left out of a store parking lot onto Avenue E. as a motorcycle traveling eastbound along Avenue E was coming around a curve in the road. The motorcycle collided with the side of the 18-wheeler, causing both the motorcycle driver and a female passenger to be thrown from the bike.
The 47-year-old man, who was driving the motorcycle, was pronounced deceased at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The female passenger suffered non-life-threatening injuries and declined transport to the hospital.
The driver of the 18-wheeler remained on scene and was cooperative with the investigation. At this time, no criminal charges have been filed in connection to the wreck. The crash remains under investigation.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the name of the deceased.
