Intoxicated wrong-way driver kills motorcyclist in Irving
At approximately 2:40am, Irving Police and Fire responded to a major accident in the eastbound lanes of Highway 114 near MacArthur Blvd.
Authorities determined a vehicle was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of Highway 114 when it struck a motorcycle head-on. The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle was found to be intoxicated and arrested at the scene. The passenger inside the vehicle was also arrested for public intoxication.
As of 9:00am this morning, SH 114 remains closed for accident investigation.
