I35W reopened after Good Samaritan killed in crash
On Friday, September 18, 2026, at approximately 2:30am, Fort Worth Police and Fire were dispatched to a major accident in the area of I35W and Felix Street.
Initial details indicate a collision occurred on the freeway, and another driver stopped to assist the occupants of the vehicle involved in the initial accident.
One of the individuals who went to assist the individuals involved in the initial accident was subsequently struck by a passing vehicle and pronounced deceased.
Both directions of I35W were closed during the overnight hours, but have since been reopened.
