16-year-old identified as victim in south Fort Worth shooting

The Fort Worth Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred on the south side of the city on October 7th.

On Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at 6:30 p.m, Fort Worth officers were called to a shooting at the Stallion Pointe Apartments, 2600 block of Swale Drive.

Officers arrived and found a male in the driver’s seat of a car suffering from a gunshot wound. First responders provided medical care to the victim; however, he died on scene.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the victim as a 16-year-old male.

Homicide detectives are investigating the details of this incident, and additional information will be released as it becomes available.

No one is currently in custody.
