On July 10, 2026, at approximately 8 a.m., the Lewisville Police Department received a 9-1-1 call from the 200 block of E. Lake Park Rd. after a resident reported finding what appeared to be a discarded, deceased human fetus.

Upon arrival, officers located a deceased fetus along the shoreline. Officers immediately secured the area and began searching for evidence.

LPD detectives conducted an on-scene investigation alongside investigators from the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office. Since that time, the scene has been cleared.

Preliminary information indicates the fetus was between 5 and 6 months’ gestation and was intentionally discarded at the location. The identity and other characteristics will ultimately be determined by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.

This is an ongoing investigation, and details are subject to change as additional facts emerge.

The Fort Worth Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred on Wilbarger Street on the Fourth of July.

On July 4, 2026, at approximately 8:18pm, Fort Worth police officers were dispatched to a shooting call that occurred in the 5900 block of Wilbarger Street. 

Officers learned there was a large gathering at this location. Two males began arguing over a female when they both pulled out firearms and shot each other. One male was pronounced deceased on scene. The other male was transported to an area hospital with an unknown condition.

Homicide detectives were notified and are actively investigating the case.

This is believed to be an isolated incident between people known to each other.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will publicly identify the deceased once next-of-kin has been notified.

At around 12:00pm on Friday, Parker County Emergency Services District #1, Parker County Hospital District EMS, law enforcement agencies and transportation officials responded to an aircraft down in the 200 block of McVoid Road.

Units arrived to find a private helicopter down near an airpark.

There was one occupant in the helicopter (the pilot). He was transported to a local hospital in stable condition. There were no other injuries.

PCESD #1 firefighters assisted in controlling a fuel leak from the helicopter. There was no fire.

The FAA is investigating the cause of the crash.

At around 7:50am this morning, multiple emergency responders from White Settlement FD, Fort Worth EMS, and Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office responded to a crash in the 10700 block of White Settlement Road.

When units arrived on scene, they located one vehicle off the roadway and into a tree.

Paramedics pronounced the driver deceased at the scene. TCSO says it was a female victim.

Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.

On June 28, 2026, at approximately 2:30 p.m., Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers, Plano Fire and Police, and Dallas Fire Rescue responded to a crash on the southbound lanes of the Dallas North Tollway and the flyover from southbound DNT to eastbound President George Bush Turnpike (PGBT).

A preliminary investigation indicated that a sports motorcycle was traveling at high speed on the flyover from southbound DNT to eastbound PGBT when the driver lost control and crashed into the concrete barrier. The impact caused the motorcycle driver to go over the barrier and land in the southbound lanes of DNT, where a passenger car struck the motorcycle driver.

The driver of the passenger vehicle, a 31-year-old woman of Dallas, was not injured.

The driver of the motorcycle, a 24-year-old, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

This investigation is ongoing, and no further information is available.

At around 3:00pm on Saturday afternoon, multiple emergency responders were dispatched to a major accident in the 12400 block of Cleburne Highway between Cresson and Weatherford.

DPS Troopers say a northbound SUV was stopped on the highway waiting to turn left when they were struck from behind by a northbound pickup truck. This collision caused the northbound SUV to hit a southbound sedan.

Two passengers inside the southbound sedan were pronounced deceased at the scene.

One person was airlifted from the scene with serious injuries. DPS indicates there were others transported, all with serious injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
