Bicyclist killed in Hurst crash; police looking for driver

The Hurst Police and Fire/EMS departments responded to a major accident last night (Tuesday) in the 2100 block of E. Hurst Blvd (Hwy 10).

Upon arrival, emergency responders began life-saving efforts on a bicyclist who was seriously injured in the crash. Hurst EMS transported the victim to Texas Health HEB, but he was pronounced deceased. He has been identified as a 62-year-old male, according to police.

Hurst PD is looking for the driver of the vehicle involved in this crash. He or she fled the scene and did not stop to render aid.

Witnesses say the vehicle is a black or dark colored older model SUV (GMC Yukon or Tahoe). The vehicle would have sustained damage to the front right fender and right front bumper, as well as the hood area.
