UPDATE: One driver killed in three-vehicle crash along I35E in Dallas
The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a major accident that occurred this afternoon along northbound I35E near Commonwealth.
At 1:51PM, Dallas County sheriffs deputies and Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to a crash on northbound I35E involving three vehicles. Officials say a pickup truck struck a passenger vehicle that eventually overturned and hit a box truck.
The driver of the passenger vehicle. identified as an unknown aged male, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
The box truck crashed through the median and protruded into the southbound lanes.
All northbound lanes were closed. Two southbound lanes were also closed while police cleared up the scene. Lanes are open at this time (7PM).
