UPDATE: One person airlifted from rollover crash in Denton County

Multiple emergency responders were called to the scene of a multi-vehicle accident at the intersection of Highway 377 and Farm to Market Road 424 just after 1:30PM this afternoon. Aubrey FD/EMS, Northeast PD, Denton County sheriffs, and DPS troopers all responded to the scene.

Preliminary information indicates a vehicle lost control and overturned at least once. At least two other vehicles were involved in the crash: a Ford truck and trailer along with a small passenger vehicle.

Aubrey firefighters conducted a quick extrication to free one person trapped in the vehicle.

PHI Med 10 was launched to the scene and landed in a nearby church parking lot not far from the scene. The patient was transported from the crash site to the helicopter via Aubrey EMS.

The helicopter transported one patient to Medical City Denton with serious injuries. The condition of the patient has not been released at this time.

All northbound lanes of Highway 377 were diverted onto Dr Griffin Road and all southbound lanes were diverted onto FM 424. Lanes are now open in the area.
