UPDATE: Teenager ejected, killed in rollover crash near Lewisville / Flower Mound border

The Flower Mound Police Department is investigating a fatality accident that occurred earlier this morning near the Flower Mound / Lewisville border.

Multiple emergency responders were called to the scene around 11:15AM this morning near the intersection of Round Grove Road and Old Orchard Lane.

Upon arrival, one vehicle was located off the roadway near the Christian Brother Automotive building. The vehicle sustained severe damage in the crash.

Police say an 18-year-old woman was driving the vehicle eastbound along Flower Mound Road / Round Grove Road when she lost control, went across the median, and hit a tree and telephone pole. The vehicle came to rest along its side up against the tree.

She was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. She was ejected and died at the scene.

Teenager killed in crash following Northwest HS graduation

Multiple emergency responders were called to the scene of a major accident just before 9:00PM last night at the intersection of Highway 114 near Blue Mound Road.

The crash involved two vehicles. An occupant in one of the vehicles was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office has confirmed the identity as a 19-year-old man from Roanoke.

Multiple high schools had their graduation at Texas Motor Speedway last evening. Northwest High School conducted their graduation ceremony at 7:00PM.

Fort Worth police investigating how teen died along busy stretch of road

The Fort Worth Police Department is investigating the death of a teenager found in the 4700 block of E. Lancaster Ave. at Edgewood Terrace.

It was dispatched as a possible person struck by a vehicle, but an officer on scene said a person with a gunshot wound was located at the given location.

MedStar EMS responded and pronounced the victim deceased on the scene. He has been identified as a 19-year-old man.

Whether the teenager was hit by a vehicle or shot by someone else, the individual responsible is unknown at this time.

Both homicide and traffic investigators are working through the evidence.

The final cause and manner of death will be determined by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Wet roads a contributing factor in fatal crash near Cresson

Multiple emergency responders were called to the scene of a serious crash along Highway 171 in Cresson earlier today.

According to DPS troopers, a passenger vehicle was traveling southbound on Highway 171 when it lost traction and started to skid.

The vehicle went across the center line and into the path of a northbound semi truck. Both vehicles collided, causing the passenger vehicle to spin.

The driver of the passenger vehicle was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the semi-truck was not injured.

The crash happened around 12:15PM. The roadway was closed for approximately 4.5 hours for law enforcement to clear up the scene.

UPDATE: Driver dies in head-on crash along FM 917 in Johnson County

TxDPS Troopers are investigating a major accident involving a head-on collision along FM 917 north of Alvarado.

At around 3:30PM, multiple emergency responders from Alvarado FD, Johnson County EMS (AMR), DPS, and sheriff deputies were called to the scene along FM 917 near County Road 808.

Officials say a pickup was traveling east on FM 917 when, for an undetermined reason, it veered into the westbound lanes of traffic, hitting an SUV head-on.

The driver of the SUV, identified as a 71-year-old man from Alvarado, was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Medical Examiner.

The driver of the pickup, a 55-year-old woman, was transported to JPS with unknown injuries.

Lanes of FM 917 were closed while crews investigated the scene.

Man shot and killed outside of Uptown Dallas club

The Dallas Police Department responded to a shooting at the One Sette Bar, 2614 McKinney Avenue, just before 1:30AM this morning.

Police say a 24-year-old man was involved in a disturbance with several patrons. He was escorted out of the club and then retrieved a weapon from his party bus. After he attempted to gain entry back into the club, he was escorted out a second time.

Once outside the club, he got into a fight with a 32-year-old man. During the fight, he pulled out the gun and shot the man multiple times.

Dallas Fire-Rescue and Police located the victim laying on a sidewalk outside of the club. He was transported to a local hospital and pronounced deceased.

The suspect fled from the scene, but eventually surrendered to the Euless Police Department. He has been arrested and charged with Murder.

UPDATE: Haltom City officers shoot driver after shots fired call

The Haltom City Police Department is investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred last night in the 2300 block of McGuire Ave.

Just after 7:00PM last night, Haltom City police were called to the scene of a shots fired call at the given location. As officers were approaching the residence, a vehicle drove around the corner and stopped in the middle of the road. The driver exited the vehicle and, while yelling at officers, proceeded to obtain an item from the trunk of the vehicle. He got back into the driver’s seat and accelerated towards officers.

Four Haltom City police officers fired at the vehicle. The driver was shot, causing the vehicle to crash into a telephone pole.

MedStar EMS and Haltom City FD were called into the scene to provide EMS to the driver. He was subsequently transported to a local hospital with critical injuries.

No officers were injured in the incident. All four have been placed on administrative leave, as per policy.

The Texas Rangers and the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Law Enforcement Critical Response Team are assisting with the investigation.

Update – The man has died at a local hospital.

Speeding drunk driver runs red light and hits vehicle in west Dallas, killing three people

The Dallas Police Department is investigating a multi-fatality crash that occurred just after 1:30AM in the west Dallas area.

According to police, a drunk driver traveling at a high rate of speed was going westbound on Singleton Blvd. when he ran the red light at the Hampton Road intersection and collided with a passenger vehicle traveling southbound on Hampton.

The force of the collision caused the vehicles to hit two others. A total of four vehicles were involved in the crash.

The vehicle hit by the drunk driver was occupied by four people. The driver, a 47-year-old man, was killed. Two passengers, a 19-year-old female and an 18-year-old female, were also killed. The woman sitting in the front passenger seat, a 42-year-old woman, was transported to a local hospital with serous injuries.

No other drivers were seriously injured.

The suspect, a 23-year-old man, was transported to a local hospital where he was found to be intoxicated. Police have charged him with three counts of Intoxication Manslaughter and one count of Intoxication Assault.

Police investigating a shooting in Haltom City

The Haltom City Police Department is investigating a shooting in the 2300 block of McGuire Avenue near Bertha Lane.

MedStar has transported one patient from the scene with serious injuries. Reports indicate the injured man was found in a vehicle.

Additional details are not known at this time.

An investigation is in progress.

Teenaged sisters die in crash outside of Alvarado

DPS Troopers are investigating a serious crash that occurred around noon today on County Road 604 at Happy Trail north of Alvarado.

Reports indicated a vehicle struck a guardrail at the bridge on County Road 604 just south of FM 917. Multiple people were injured at the scene.

Two people were pronounced deceased at the scene, according to Tarrant County Medical Examiner records. The two were sisters, both teenagers who lived not too far from the accident scene.

An adult female was transported to a local hospital.

We are still awaiting official details on the potential cause of the crash. Once the details have been released, we will publish them below.

Update from DPS:

On 5/24/20 at approximately 12:24 p.m., Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers were called to a one vehicle crash on CR604 just south of Happy Trail road in Johnson County.

The preliminary investigation shows that a vehicle was traveling north on CR604 approaching a bridge. For an as of yet undetermined reason the Ford veered to the left, just before the bridge, causing the Ford to strike the bridge railing with the front of the vehicle, impaling the vehicle onto the bridge railing where it came to a stop.

The driver, a 39 year-old woman, of Alvarado was transported by ambulance to John Peter Smith Hospital with injuries. Two 17 year-old juveniles, both from Alvarado, were pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

The investigation is still ongoing and there is no other information available at this time.
