Man seriously hurt after being struck by vehicle while standing outside stranded car on I35E
The Carrollton Police Department is investigating a serious crash that occurred yesterday morning in the northbound lanes of I35E near Belt Line Road.
According to reports, a man was standing outside of his stranded car when a vehicle hit him. Police say his vehicle was on the right shoulder of the highway.
The man was pinned in the crash, according to a police official. Carrollton Fire and EMS responded to the scene for patient care.
Carrollton EMS transported the man to a local hospital with serious injuries. His condition is unknown at this time.
All but one northbound lane of I35E were closed while the department’s Accident Investigation team examined the scene.
It is not known if the driver will face any charges.
