Four suspects rob 53 guns from Richardson gun store; owner shoots, injures one

The Richardson Police Department along with the ATF Dallas are investigating an armed robbery of a Richardson gun store that occurred on Thursday afternoon.

Police received a report of a robbery at Mike’s Gun Store, located in the 1000 block of E. Belt Line Road, around 3PM on Thursday afternoon.

Investigators say four individuals entered the gun store, two displaying weapons. They robbed the store of 53 handguns before the store owner was able to shoot and injure one of the suspects.

Richardson EMS transported the wounded suspect to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

When the store owner started shooting, the three uninjured suspects fled from the scene in a light gray Chevy Malibu. ATF says the vehicle has paper tags and one replacement tire.

A $10,000 reward is offered for information leading to the capture of these suspects.
