Tuber hit by boat on Lake Granbury; divers still searching for victim

Multiple emergency responders from Hood County are searching for the victim of a boating accident that occurred yesterday on Lake Granbury.
On Saturday afternoon, it was reported that a woman riding an towable tube had been involved in an accident with a boat. It is unclear if the boat hit the tube, or hit the rider who had fallen into the water. Details regarding the crash are still not known at this time.
After the incident, the woman went underwater and did not resurface. A search began yesterday afternoon, and has continued throughout the day today (Sunday). They are focusing their efforts near the banks of DeCordova Bend Estates.
Several personnel from the Texas Game Wardens (Dive Team and K-9), Brazos River Authority, Trinity River Water District, Hood County Sheriff’s Office, and firefighters from Hood and Somervell counties have all taken part in the search.
The search will likely conclude at daybreak tonight, but start again in the morning with new daylight.
We will update this story with any new developments.
