Two shot, one fatally, at Garland apartment complex
The Garland Police Department is investigating a shooting incident in the 600 block of Broadway Commons.
At around lunchtime today, Garland police were called to a shooting at an apartment community at the listed location. Officers found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. One victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. The other was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Detectives believe three men met up at an apartment where one of the men resided. At some point during the meet up, a disturbance occurred and gunshots were fired. The third individual involved in this incident fled the scene.
Police say all three men are acquainted, but their specific relation was not released.
The investigation is ongoing.
