Woman fatally stabs mother and daughter at their Grand Prairie apartment

The Grand Prairie Police Department is investigating the stabbing deaths of two individuals at their apartment home on Sunday morning.

Police were called to the Lakeside Villas apartments in the 2500 block of Riverside Parkway at around 10:30AM Sunday morning after a domestic dispute broke out between a woman and family members. During the dispute, the woman grabbed a knife and stabbed two women, a mother and her daughter. Both were pronounced deceased at the scene.

The women have been identified as a 53-year-old female and 71-year-old female.

The suspect, 41-year-old Jillian Johnson, was arrested by the United States Marshal Service North Texas Fugitive Task Force and charged with Capital Murder. She is being held in Grand Prairie jail on a $500,000 bond.

Investigators are treating this as a family violence homicide.
