Motorcyclist killed in crash on 635 in Dallas
The Dallas Police Department is investigating a fatality accident involving a motorcyclist that occurred this morning on LBJ Freeway (635) near Plano Road.
Dallas Fire Rescue and Police Department were called to the scene around 9:00AM in the westbound lanes of IH-635. A motorcyclist was critically injured in the crash and quickly transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
Traffic investigators say the motorcyclist was driving in stop and go traffic when he rear ended a vehicle. He lost control of his motorcycle and hit an 18-wheeler, ejecting him from the bike.
All lanes of westbound 635 were closed while police investigated the scene.
The department’s Vehicle Crimes Unit is investigating the crash to see if any charges are necessary.
