Toddler killed in Bedford crash

The Bedford Police Department is investigating a fatality accident that occurred overnight along State Highway 121.

At around 12:45am, Bedford Fire/EMS and PD responded to the crash scene along southbound Highway 121 between Bedford Road and Murphy Drive. A male driver and two passengers, an adult female and small child, were all injured in the crash and transported to area hospitals.

Unfortunately, the 1-year-old child was pronounced deceased at a local hospital. The female sustained life-threatening injuries and is in critical condition. The male driver does not have any life-threatening injuries.

All lanes of southbound 121 were closed throughout the night while police investigated the scene.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Young man killed in shooting near Crowley; suspects arrested

The Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Saturday night near Crowley.

At around 8:45pm last night, Crowley paramedics and police along with TCSO deputies were called to the 4100 block of Great Belt Drive regarding a shooting. When paramedics arrived, they found an 18-year-old unconscious and suffering from a gunshot wound. He was quickly transported to JPS, but pronounced deceased at the hospital.

Responding officers learned the incident was reportedly a drive by shooting that occurred on Floyd Hampton Road, not far from the neighborhood. They responded to that area and located the suspects vehicle, occupied by two people who were taken into custody. They are both suspects in this case.

The Tarrant County Sheriffs Office is investigating the incident.

Motorcyclist killed in crash near Burleson

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a fatal motorcycle accident that occurred on Saturday evening along FM 917 in Johnson County.

At around 5:15pm, a motorcycle occupied by two people was traveling eastbound on FM 917 when the cyclist failed to navigate a curve in the roadway near Renfro Street. The motorcycle crashed, ejecting both occupants and hitting an oncoming vehicle.

The driver of the motorcycle, a 40-year-old man from Mansfield, was pronounced deceased at the scene. A 43-year-old woman riding on the back of the motorcycle was transported to a local hospital with injuries.

Lanes of FM 917 were closed while police investigated the scene.

Driver charged with intoxication manslaughter after northwest Dallas crash

The Dallas Police Department is investigating a fatality accident that occurred on Friday evening at the intersection of Northwest Highway and Starlight Road.

Officials say the driver was traveling westbound on Northwest Highway when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a pedestrian sitting along the median. The pedestrian was pushed into a box truck and pronounced deceased.

The driver who caused the crash was transported to a local hospital with medical evaluation, but will be charged with intoxication manslaughter, according to Dallas police.

The identity of the victim has not yet been released.

Child killed in accidental shooting at Dallas apartment

The Dallas Police Department is investigating the accidental shooting death of a 5-year-old little boy.

Police responded to the Spanish Grove apartments in the 1400 block of Stardale Lane after a child was reported to be shot. Officials say two children were home when the 8-year-old found a gun and accidentally shot the 5-year-old.

An offense of making a firearm accessible to a child was cited to a relative of the boys.

The incident remains under investigation.

Driver killed in crash with 18-wheeler in Parker County

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a fatality accident that occurred this morning along Farm to Market Road 920 in Parker County.

At around 8:05am this morning, multiple emergency responders from Parker County ESD #1, LifeCare EMS, DPS and sheriffs deputies were called to the scene on FM 920 near Cornstubble Lane south of Poolville. One vehicle and one 18-wheeler had been involved in a crash.

Traffic investigators say a pickup truck, driven by a 29-year-old man, was traveling north on FM 920 when the driver veered into the oncoming lanes. An 18-wheeler traveling southbound on FM 920 impacted the vehicle head-on, causing major damage and overturning the 18-wheeler.

The 29-year-old driver of the pickup truck, identified as a man from Springtown, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the 18-wheeler was not injured.

FM 920 was closed for a few hours while police investigated the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
