Intoxicated 19-year-old causes crash that kills passenger in Frisco

The Frisco Police Department is investigating a fatality accident that occurred earlier this morning on Highway 380.

At around 7:30am, Frisco Fire/EMS and Police all responded to the eastbound lanes of Highway 380 east of Coit Road for a single vehicle crash.

First arriving units located a vehicle crashed into a light pole. The impact of the collision caused a passenger in the SUV to be ejected. That passenger was transported to a local hospital, but pronounced deceased. He has been identified as a 21-year-old man.

The driver, identified as a 19-year-old man from Frisco, was arrested and charged with Intoxication Manslaughter.

Lanes of Highway 380 were closed while Frisco police investigated the scene.
