Driver killed, two others critically hurt in overnight Lewisville crash

The Lewisville Police Department is investigating a fatality accident that occurred during the overnight hours on Business 121.
At 2:45am this morning, Lewisville FD/EMS and Police were dispatched to the 1300 block of E. Business 121 between I35E and Sam Rayburn Tollway (121) for a multiple vehicle crash.
Investigators say a passenger vehicle and pickup truck were traveling eastbound on Business 121 when the driver of the passenger vehicle clipped the back left bumper of the pickup truck. This caused the driver of the pickup truck to lose control and crash off the roadway. The truck then overturned and ejected the driver. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. Police say he was not wearing a seatbelt.
After the initial impact, the driver of the passenger vehicle also lost control and collided with the center median. The vehicle flipped over into the westbound lanes where it was struck by a westbound pickup truck. Both the driver of the passenger vehicle and the driver of the pickup truck were ejected from their vehicles. Neither were wearing a seatbelt. The driver of the passenger vehicle was transported to a Dallas hospital in grave condition. The driver of the pickup truck was transported to Medical City Denton with multiple serious injuries.
Lewisville PD closed lanes of Business 121 for several hours while investigators documented evidence from the crash scene. “Everything from street racing to drunk driving is being investigated,” according to Lewisville PD.
The crash is under investigation.
